Murayama Kentaro is a potter who makes pottery in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. He walks the mountains himself to collect the raw materials such as soil, iron, and stone. The designs are simple in shape to fit in with modern food culture and to be used for a long time. Made from refined white clay collected in the Kawahara area. It is made with a glaze made from feldspar collected in the Yamauchi area.

Murayama Kentaro
Born in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture in 1978. Graduated from Arita Ceramics College in 2003 and studied under Kiyomi Kawakami. Established his own kiln in Karatsu City in 2008. He walks in the mountains, gathers raw materials, makes clay and glazes, and while using the old Karatsu storefront techniques as a base, he continues to research soil and glazes to create his own unique texture.
