about

Murayama Kentaro, a potter in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, makes these ceramics. He walks through the mountains himself to collect the raw materials, such as soil, iron, and stone. The designs are simple and fit with modern food culture, and can be used for a long time. The clay is made from iron-rich soil collected in the Sari area. It is made with a glaze made from iron collected in the Kanaishihara area.

Shop Manager's View

Since all processes are done by hand, there are individual differences. There may be distortion, roughness on the surface, and uneven color. Each piece has a different texture. The photo is a sample, so the product you receive may have a slightly different texture.
